One of London’s oldest food markets (founded in 1014!) and certainly the highest-regarded, Borough Market has over 100 stalls selling some of the country’s best produce: traders go through rigorous testing to ensure their products meet the high standards consumers expect here.
You’ll have to believe me when I say I’m a huge fan: Borough Market hasn’t appeared on this blog as many times as I thought (because food>photos) but I pop to Southwark every couple of months and whenever my family are in London it’s no.1 on their must-visit list.
This Christmas Borough Market is hosting demos with chef Katherine Frelon, who’ll show you how to create quick and easy festive food on Thursday 1st, 8th and 15th December from 12.30-2.00pm—and these demonstration kitchens are free!
I gladly accepted an invitation for the special preview evening and a small group of bloggers were welcomed in from the cold with delicious Cider House mulled cider and the sound of Christmas classics.
Katherine showed us how to make chocolate bark and Christmassy teas. Both are super easy but look so impressive and will be perfect gifts (if they last that long, you know what I’m saying).
