Climbing the Arc de Triomphe: a Paris highlight

By far one of the best things we did in Paris was to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe. It was possibly even better than going up the Eiffel Tower, because obviously you can see the Iron Lady herself in all her glory just across the typically Parisian slate rooftops. So dreamy.

In fact, I struggled to narrow down these photos despite the fact they’re all basically the same. Paris, you beauty.

Tip: If you’re coming from the centre of Paris ignore the advice on the Arc de Triomphe website, advising you get to the middle of the roundabout via the Avenue de la Grand Armée. There is a tunnel there but there’s also one at the top of the Champs-Elysées, which is likely to be more convenient to you.

I can’t believe I was in the French sunshine just a few days ago! Autumn has arrived in London and it’s been pretty dreary (even thundery) recently. Tonight involves nothing more than a Toy Story marathon accompanied by some simple food: marvellous. I hope your weekend is equally rock and roll!
