Seville Cathedral and Giralda, Spain

A long weekend in Seville, Spain

Last month, we went on a surprise trip to Seville for my guy’s birthday (I have to say, I’m proud of myself for keeping that one quiet). It was supposed to be a relaxing long weekend and was successful until our flight home was cancelled. After a mild panic at the airport (thanks for nothing, Ryanair) we thought, “Hey, 48 extra hours in Spain!”.

Our highlights were dinner at Brunilda (so good we went three times, can you believe i didn’t really ‘get’ tapas before?!), copious amounts of cheap cerveza, admiring those famed Andalusian tiles on every surface, a great first Airbnb experience (click to get £16 off your first stay!) and of course, sunshine.

Seville’s so pretty I got shamelessly snap-happy (here’s a separate post on the climbing of the Giralda, or bell tower!). In summary, recomendamos Sevilla!
