A weekend in Manchester

Ignore all the rumours about the weather in Manchester: we recently spent a couple of days up north and didn’t experience a drop of rain! We got lucky when you consider that (besides visiting family) we were spending most of our time outside: the main purpose of our trip was to explore the Christmas markets.

I actually fell back in love with Manchester a little bit. London is a special place but it’s relentless unfriendliness gets a northern girl down after a while. Roll on Christmas, when I’ll be back at Euston to pop home again. It’s where the heart is, after all.

  1. Aw this reminds me memories! I went to Manchester when I first moved to England about 4 years ago. I very much liked it and especially the huge shopping center ;-) I didn’t know they had a Christmas market. I’ll have to go check it out next year. xx
